Cyclic coloured lighting is the bane of my existence when shooting
concerts, the focus shifts as the colours cycle. I've taken to using
centre point focus, disconnecting the AF action from the shutter
button and using the back AF button and crossing my fingers that I get
focus lock. If the camera can't get a reliable lock then at least it
doesn't go hunting every time the shutter button is depressed.
