The K-x seems to need the K-AC-84 kit which looks just like the D-AC-10
adapter for the *ist-D cameras and a battery compartment insert that has
a pigtail to connect to the power plug from the D-AC-10.
As with any accessory for modern electronics you have to buy it at the
time you purchase or it will no longer be available later when you
discover you need it.
I suppose that you could buy an additional AA battery insert for the K-x
and build your own, (I can give you the power output specifications on
the D-AC-10 since I have one and it shouldn't be too difficult to cobble
together a functional equivalent), but those too seem to be no longer
available.
Output for the D-AC-10 6.5v 3000mA, Tip positive, Ring negative.
