I initially resisted putting together this list, partly because 2012 was such a crappy year for our family that I'm glad to see it in the rear view mirror. As a result, I really didn't do that much photography, especially over the last half of the year. The other reason is that virtually all of these were shared as PESOs over the year, so anyone interested has probably seen them already. But in reviewing/choosing these shots, I was able to see that, photographically, 2012 was an interesting one for me. The one at the top, "God Rays", I hope to have made into a good-sized wall print this year. Finally, I got two rare birds for our area, an though the images technically stink they are my personal favorites just for getting them at all. Not included in the twelve are images of the best display of the Northern Lights I've ever seen (and from near the 40th latitude in South Central Nebraska, yet).
