That's essentially what I did when I got my 6x7 Tak 300mm f/4. This is as good a test as I have ever > found. I took a few frames of a local high school building which turned out to be the perfect subject. It has a small clock tower in the middle, a good contrast test. Red bricks, ivy growing on it, and some carved stonework for checking detail. High-contrast borders around the windows for checking colour fringing at the edges of the frame. The building faces the cricket field which gives me heaps of space for testing long lenses while getting the whole clock tower in-frame.
