Actually I knew what a cubit was Bob, I was hoping my question would bring back to many the Bill Cosby's Noah & the Ark routine where Noah (aka Cosby) is questioning Gods plan for hime to build an Ark.

Uh Bob, what's a cubit....

I was hoping someone would ask that just after I sent that post, because I
had a good joke all lined up and ready to go, but now I've forgotten what it
was.

So the boring reply is, it's about 18 inches, or 45cm for metric Noachians. Bloody big ark - 150 yards long, but I suppose it had to be to get all those
animals and their food therein.
