Ray Wylie Hubbard has a song called "Mother Blues" that they play on KPIG. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HurzgLcaf0 There is a line in it that is very topical to conversations about the Samyang 8/3.5 And the days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations Well, I have really good days My expectations of a $300 fisheye lens were on the line of what I might have buying a "toy lens" for a Q. I didn't buy this lens to be a stunning optical performer. I bought it to learn how to shoot with a fisheye, and to have fun with. And I'll tell you, I'm having a lot of fun with this lens, and I'm not worrying too much about perfect image clarity. Maybe I'm having so much fun because I'm not worrying too much about getting the photos perfectly sharp. That being said, I've been rather surprised at just how clear and sharp the pictures that I've been getting with it are. At first I was thinking that one of these days I might actually pick up one of those expensive high quality superwide lenses to replace it. Lately, I've been seeing less need to. -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
