I read somewhere yesterday that HI speed could only be accessed when shooting jpgs. If you shoot RAW or RAW+, that option is grayed out. Right now, I have mine set to jpg only & can get it into HI. My husband called it a brick, too...it is dense. But it felt pretty light to me compared to the k-5 + 50-135 combo I use frequently. I don't see myself using big lenses like that on the k-01 too often, but... never say never.
