I'll vouch for the Vivitar 200/3.5; I paid at least that much for the
single lens, and thought it a good value.

At large apertures, it shows purple fringing on my K10D, but when
stopped down it performs quite decently. I use it for trap-focus
shooting of birds, since you need a MF lens to do that on the K10D (an
AF lens with an AF/MF switch won't work). Here are a couple of
