Hi Stan The template is "Wells." It looks different from the sample because I changed the background color to black and made a small change to the font. This template has a nice gallery presentation that I currently have turned off. I'll add a couple of galleries over the next few days.
I downloaded my content from posterous but did not use it as input to Squarespace. It took a while for the backup to be ready and available for download. I have the content archived. Squarespace has a direct import from posterous. That only took about a minute or so. There was some cleanup necessary. All of the blog text was imported as a caption for the associated photo. Honestly, I could have left it, but the photo caption text is smaller than body text. So I went into each entry and moved the text from the caption area to the text box. It was about 3 hours of boring cut and paste work while I was watching a spring training baseball game on TV. I did report the problem to Squarespace support and they were willing to look into it, but I told them they could forget it (unless they wanted to do it for themselves.) I've been around IT long enough to know how much time can be spent on these types of problems. It was quicker just to cut and paste the content. There was one video that did not import. I don't know why. I have the video hosted on Smugmug, so it was easy to re-point the Squarespace blog post to the Smugmug video. There were a few blog posts that had several photos in posterous slide shows. When I first looked at the result of the import I thought only the first photo had been imported. Actually all of them had been imported, but the default Squarespace format for the slideshows has the controls set to invisible. Squarespace actually has more slideshow formats and options so I just had to reconfigure those. That was it. Maybe a total of about 8 hours spent over 3 days and I was in business. Last night I pointed GeorgeSinos.com and connected it on the Squarespace customization page, so the browser address bar now reports my domain instead of squarespace.com. Two more hints. 1) Watch the introductory videos. They will get you oriented faster. 2) Every template has its own little options and quirks. These may not be initially obvious but they are outlined in the last section of the template. By the way, Squarespace support answered both of my emails in less than an hour.
