Thanks for looking, Bob.

Your comment interests me. I'm not certain what you expect a
Polynesian in Hawaii to look like. Native Hawaiians are quite
different from the Polynesians of other island groups. Except fro
recent immigrants from Tonga or Samoa, there are very few full-blooded
Polynesians in Hawaiian, since the races have intermarried there
perhaps more freely than anywhere else on earth. The first two
European settlers, sailors who stayed behind after Captain Cook's
ships sailed away, immediately married native Hawaiians. Almost all
the children of the American missionaries in the early 1800s did the
same. As George Clooney's character noted in The Descendants, almost
all the prominent Haole (white) families have native Hawaiian
ancestors, and most islanders who consider themselves Hawaiian or
part-Hawaiian have Haole, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese or
Filipino blood in their veins as well. The typical Hawaiian is a
mixed breed these days, and most Hawaiians are very proud of that.

My image was taken during a stage show. As I look at it now, I can
see that there was quite a bit of blue lighting in that image.
Perhaps she looks a bit more like you would expect under more neutral
lighting, as here: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=16998415
