Yes, apparently the did actually have fully working prototypes. Or so, I have been assured by a reliable source who says he actually handled one of the prototypes, and shot some images with it.
Now, I know for sure Pentax is nuts! They only reason they wouldn't have sold one, or two, to me is because I don't have the money... Not everyone is in that unfortunate position.
