Thanks Bob, Dan, Bob, Frank et al for checking out my San Juan photos. Bob W - I think a few weeks island hopping in the Caribbean would be a great trip. Problem is, any cruises stop only briefly in any one port, usually 0800-1730, and regular transportation among islands is spotty and expensive, making an independent itinerary somewhat difficult. But a few days on each of 3 or 4 islands would be a decent compromise. Or you charter a small sailboat (with crew as needed) . . .
As promised, here is the second installment from our trip. After spending 2 1/2 days in San Juan Puerto Rico, we boarded our cruise ship Sunday afternoon. Overnight we slooowly proceeded next door to St. Thomas. Meg and I booked a "scenic overview" tour which lasted through the morning, then wandered the streets of Charlotte Amalia.
