Short form, I've tried with several sets of batteries, ones that work in my K-x and/or another flash, I turn it on, the red "ready" light never comes on. Pressing the "test" button won't get me a flash. All of the control buttons seem to work, the LCD display and the display light work just fine. It seems to do pretty much everything, but emit any sort of light from the strobe.
Last night I was trying to use it as a dumb slave (I was using a friend's Canon IR rig) and I couldn't get any sort of flash out of it. Tonight, I tried with several other sets of batteries. I do not see myself wasting money by sending it back to Pentax for repair for a fourth time.
