Quoting Stan Halpin <[email protected]>:
The default/home screen shows Canon. You need to make a menu choice
on camera brand to see Pentax models and the requisite connector
cable.
Yeah, but their camera selection system is borked. For example, if
you select Pentax Q, you don't see a message telling you that the
camera isn't supported (it isn't - it doesn't have a wired remote
port), you still see the default screen with a list of cables.
Even more confusing, if you'd previously checked the Pentax K-5 (say),
which is supported, and then checked Pentax Q, the screen remains
unchanged, telling you that the Q is supported and can use the same
cable as the K-5.
All a bit strange but it doesn't get away from the fact that
Triggertrap looks very useful.
Cheers

G'day all
Triggertrap is a Smartphone app that, combined with a dongle that
connects your phone to the remote port of your camera, turns your
phone into a sophisticated intervalometer. It looks as if it would be
useful for things like star trails.
Anyone tried it?
Details here:

Are any Pentax cameras actually supported?
I see they have a dongle that fits Canon "along with a load of
other cameras that accept a 2.5mm socket", but I'm leery that they
don't specifically mention Pentax.
Moot point for me, since I'm still using a dumb phone & already
have a "sophisticated intervalometer" that I bought just before
making my trip out west in January.
