George, I saw that article but haven't had time to try it out although I
have played with some plugins to get the effect. I have trouble picking
the right subject. Your post inspires me to keep at it.

The latest issue of Pop Photo had a procedure for simulating infrared
photos by making a few adjustments in ACR. Here's the result of doing
the same thing Lightroom.
I don't know that I would call it great, but it was fun to play with.
I saved the starting point in a preset. That will make it easier to
play with other photos later.

Like I said, it's probably not the greatest thing since sliced bread,
but it's likely enough to keep me from converting an old body to
dedicated IR shooting.
