As Paul says, the clone brush can do a good job. You could try setting
the mode to color.

Here's a nice "patch" trick I use in retouching that works for this.
Lasso or marquee a section that's similar to what you need to fix,
copy it to a new layer (Cmd-J), use the transform tools (Cmd-T) to
move it over top of the blemished area and rotate it (possibly
stretching it as well) to fit in position. Use a very soft eraser
brush to smooth the edges of it to blend it into place.

I tried that in Ps Elements on your sample image and got a pretty good
result. I need more practice with Elements to get it perfect -- I'm
used to Photoshop's toolset. Normally I'd use a layer mask rather than
erasing on the layer itself (I prefer non-destructive editing). So I
did it again in Ps CS5 and got a decent result. Had to use the clone
brush with Lighten to better match the cover-up patch's light to the
new location ...

Of course this works much better on the full-rez original and if you
have more of it to sample from. You can use a sample from another shot
taken under the same light, eg rotate the object a bit and take a 2nd
shot then use that as your patch.
