Thanks for looking, Aahz Ken and Bruce! I also like it for the action, and because it is a totally different posture than the other images I have of humpback whales.
Yes, there is noise; it was an overcast day with some mild drizzle. Yes, It is not as sharp as I would like. I was on a boat that was rocking, and the whale popped up at quite a distance from the boat, so I had to quickly adjust the zoom, turn to get him in the viewfinder, and snap before he disappeared. I didn't really have time to refocus, but I shoe anyway.
