The most free country in the world? Like the US, and every other country, India still has major challenges to true freedom. There is still discrimination against women and girls. "Dowry deaths," honor killings, and female foeticide still occur from time to time in certain segments of society. Maoists terrorize the population in certain areas. Adivasis and members of the lowest casts are treated severely. I am not saying that the US is better than India in all respects, only that both countries have serious problems that need to be addressed.
