That's a good price, assuming it is new and USA warranty (not Grey
Market). The problem with buying a Canon 5D Mark II is that you are
getting a relatively noisy Canon sensor.
: )

At B&H, the Nikon D600 is $1996 and has a $100 "gift with purchase"
making it a good deal, unless you want to use screwmount lenses and
still have infinity focus. B&H has D600s for less than that but they
are either used ($1699), refurbished ($1619) or "never used" ($1849).
There are also places I would not personally buy from (*cough*
Primotronix.com *cough*) advertising the D600 body for $1499 and then
also offering a "Nikon D600 Digital Camera (body Only) usa Retail Kit"
for $1999 (which makes me think that the $1499 is Grey Market and had
everything stripped out of the box except the body itself. For those
"extras" you probably have to pay more.)

In any event, I was wrong about the Sony being the first sub-$2000
full frame. Please make note of it on my Permanent Record.
