I do *not* recommend anti-virus software for Android phones. I know of
zero cases in which it’s had a useful effect.  I *do* recommend being
careful getting apps from the Play store.  If it’s a well-known brand
name from a reputable outfit, no problemo.  Otherwise, check the
download counts and reviews, and don’t download anything brand new
until it’s built up some track record.  -T
