Well, tonight the Boston area, specifically Cambridge and Watertown are in full
court press.

An MIT campus policeman was shot and killed around 10:20 pm. A carjacking and a
multi-agency 100 car chase to Watertown during which 1 suspect was killed,
"bombs" were thrown out of the car at police. An entire neighborhood was
surrounded and locked down. No one has confirmed that these two had anything to
do with the Marathon Bombing, though it is suspicious that the FBI released
several more, much better photos late tonight than were released at the 5:20pm
news conference.

Anyway, an MTA policeman was wounded and in critical condition during that
chase. One suspect was wounded and taken to the hospital, He has died, and is
now believed to be "Suspect #1". A large part of Watertown is now being
searched door to door in the belief that the remaining person may be "Suspect
#2 (white hat, long hair)" after his image was captured at a 7-11 store camera
in Cambridge around 7:00 pm tonight.

Add on the chemical explosion in West, Texas, 3.5 miles from where my cousin
Joe Akers and his family live, south of West, north of Waco. Fortunately, there
are so many trees and foliage around his house that he says he didn't even hear
or feel it. Bear in mind, a third of his living room, with wooden floors, is
taken up by his drum kit, so he is either a bit deaf, or he was practicing at
the time.

It has been a busy and tragic week for this country, as I feel a part, in
various ways, of each of them. I'll be keeping my eyes open the rest of the
week for the third boot to fall.
