I have a similar problem with a Tokina ATX 400 f5.6 - just that lens. It will kick to f 90 or something like that and not change. If I remove the lens and re-seat it, it goes back to working. It also works fine in A mode... When I re-seat the lens I can feel a little resistance when turning the body and lens. I _think_ that the levers in the lens mount are not hooking up correctly - though like in yours case DOF preview works OK. So for what it's worth - take a look at the little lever in the lens mount - maybe it got bent a wee bit? - MCC - - - - - - - - - - Mark Cassino Kalamazoo, MI [EMAIL PROTECTED] - - - - - - - - - - Photos: http://www.markcassino.com - - - - - - - - - - - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
