Great news, Ann! It appears you're on the just right track of recovery.
What you describe and the drops you have to put in seem pretty much just like what my dad had few years ago when he had his eye fixed... Also just one, by the way.
Being as usual over-protective I would suggest you don't take out the camera so as to not to strain your eyes in any way...
