Ah well... I decided to not renew my pro account last September, and I haven't missed it at all. I don't really do much with "the community" there, I just used it as a place to park photos that I wanted to share with specific people.... like the PDML. Or family who aren't on fb. (you know, old folks! lol) What's interesting is that, in going to a regular account, flickr limited me to displaying only the most recent 200 photos... I thought, "fine, I didn't really need/want the rest of them out there, anyway, that will save me the hassle of deleting." Well, now all those old photos are back in my photostream. Goody.
Otherwise, I use zenfolio as a website, and I've built a little corner of that for displaying/sharing photos...
