Seriously, the people obsessing over the accuracy of their post-shot
histograms are just the 21st-century equivalent of the Ansel Adams
disciples fretting over every nuance of the zone system. Even Ansel
Adams held them in contempt. What was arguably his most famous
photograph (Moonrise Over Hernandez) was taken without using the zone
system. Without even using a light meter, in fact.
