Cute little guy! It's a brave thing to pick an image for critique at random, so I'll try to provide an honest critique. I'm not sure if it's the monitor that I'm viewing the image on but there seems to be no real dark areas where I would expect there to be, I think that you could potentially check the histogram and play with the black-point using levels or curves? Since you used a fairly limited DOF I assume that the toy is the focus of the image? If so then the background adds little context as is shown. IMO it detracts from the focus even though it's well out of focus. To remedy this you could possibly crop it tighter into a vertical format or alternately possibly add a vignette or mask and darken the entire background, this would make the subject more prevalent.
