Eyesight good, brain.. not so much... still more ditzy and drowsy than
usual after having been sedated for the procedure. Having only been put
out, so to speak, once before ever (and that was in the late 1960's )
not being a drinker or pothead or abuser of pain killers, and being an
older person this was, it seems, not unusual. I slept eight hours then
took two pretty long naps a day for a couple of weeks. The eyedrops
said (may cause drowsiness but they all say that) but then I found out
about the sedation thing. Good thing I had my friend staying with me for
the first few days.
So don't feel too neglected if I don't throw out a lot of comments -
I'm barely above lurking stage. Did manage to get a photo to Brian
for next PUG and have enjoyed his blog about the trip to all my favorite
places (except Cheyenne, I don't like Cheyenne - that is, when I was
there, not his report)
Still getting a bit of attention on my having been featured in
"Vanishing New York" on May 22. lots of hits on my smugmug page
and a few sales. ( Wish I had a penny for each of those hits -
almost 60,000 now!) Maybe some of those visitors will have bookmarked
an will come back to buy or go to cafepress for the calendar.
HOpe to see GFM pics and more stories - although so far it looks like
all you guys did was hang out and drink beer :-)
I did read a bit of the list recently -- I'm in the pro-tripod camp
It was essential for the stock stuff I shot in the 80's - shooting
film back then the difference between my hand held shots using PKR 64
and those on a tripod were the difference between getting a photo
accepted or declined. These days, my camera sits on a tripod at home
for shooting all my ebay wares that are not flat. (the v-500 is still
the best thing for that.)
For you who remember the birthday present I got this past december
(the(rare) flowering of the corn plant) there are now 4 now leaves that
have emerged from the center where the flower had been.
