Was the application developer from Nigeria?
From: "P.J. Alling"
If it's any consolation, it's not just Apple. I wanted to try out a
"Free Application" for the PC on a web site recently and they wanted
my email address /and/ credit card information to confirm my
existence I suppose. I'm sorry you need what? Why? This has been
happening all to frequently lately. Worst of all in this case, the
Application didn't look to be too difficult to reproduce, and only
saved a few steps on an operation that I do infrequently.

Why is it that when I want to download a FREE app, they insist on
my Apple id, and on verifying my credit card details?
Why don't they have a 'Fuck off with all this bollocks' button? I
just can't be arsed to get my wallet out to check the details, so
now the app developer has lost a download.
Just get out of the sodding way, Apple!
