Q7: The Q10 body with a larger sensor. http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/members/46852-anthony-mazzeri/albums/6417-camera/picture61053.jpg Perhaps a new lens will be forthcoming for it also: a 4.6-18mm f/1.8-2.8 lens (21-84mm equivalent) designed for a 1/1.7" size sensor. Nobody knew what this patent was for when it was announced for a 1/1.7" sensor. Now (maybe) we know! http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/222437-new-lens-q-maybe.html
I have not yet seen if the original Q lenses will cover the larger sensor, but if they were designed for this eventuality, then perhaps they do. If so, then the new crop factor give the Q7 these equivalent FOVs: http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/227467-rumour-new-q-larger-sensor-2.html#post2413958 -- "Photography is a Bastard left by Science on the Doorstep of Art" - Peter Galassi -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
