Hi all,
The young lady who posed for me today has spent a good amount of time in
the pool this spring and summer. This, of course, gives her skin a
beautiful golden tone -- except for the parts that were covered by her
swimsuit when she wears a strapless dress.
What's the best way to deal with that little issue in LR4?
Not sure about Lightroom, but in Photoshop I'd try the color
replacement brush.
Sample the color from the tan part & brush over the un-tan part. You
set the brush to have a low tolerance so that it will only replace
very similar light colors. A "soft" brush helps it blend well.
I'm sure Lightroom has something similar to the color replacement
brush, but I use Photoshop because I can work on duplicate layers & if
I screw it up all I have to do is discard the screwed up layer and try
again on a new duplicate layer.
You might look on YouTube for a Lightroom tutorial on the subject.
Thanks, John.
I ended up just cloning them out, and it seemed to work fairly well. I
didn't get every last hint of tan line out, but that wasn't really my
objective. I mostly just wanted them to not stand out and distract. I
don't know why I didn't think to look for a tutorial on YouTube
somewhere. I'm sure that's not an uncommon issue.
