As I indicated in an earlier post, Dartmouth has a small Army ROTC
program, run by Norwich University, a military college in Vermont.
The young man in my PESO used two of his college summers to attend the
USMC Platoon Leaders Course in Quantico, Virginia, leading to his
being commissioned as a second lieutenant the day before graduation.
I followed a similar course, although I went through the USMC Officers
Candidate School after graduation from Dartmouth, and was commissioner
upon completion of that program.
