I'd ensure I had a wide range of focal lengths too! When I took a balloon
ride, I used the longest
I had (a 200mm) for some air-to-ground shots, but the widest I had (a n 18mm)
for in-the-balloon
shots. A zoom in the range 28-105 I used for more general aerial landscapes,
so the kit you propose
looks perfect.

Subject: Balloon photo advice?

Good morning,

I'm scheduled to take a hot-air balloon ride tomorrow morning, and am planning
on taking the K-5,
10-17, 16-45, 50-200, and polarizer.

Is that too much?  Any advice?

Rick
