Larry, where are you based in the US? Repairs in India by independent mechanics in Mumbai or Delhi are extremely cheap - approx. 1/4th the US. Do note Pentax is not present at all in India - no Sales or Service Centers, but Independent Repair Shops do offer services. I keep visiting Toronto, Canada and San Mateo in the Bay Area. Since I returned recently in February 2013, I may not be travelling again in the near future. I could ask some Pentaxian friends in Mumbai & Delhi to check for repairs with the cost, if you mail the photos to me with a brief write up on the sensor problem.
