The Alamosa area proved to be one of the more interesting places we visited. We weren't expecting much (we only booked to stay there because it's the closest town to the Great Sand Dunes NP), but the landscape around the town is stunning.

Thanks to all who looked and/or commented. It seems that Jack and I were the only ones who had some misgivings about the image. I was a bit concerned that HDR Efex had 'over-cooked' it a bit. I still may do some work on it to reduce the intensity of the colour of the foreground (but I will keep the original version, Bruce :-)> ).
