That is an interesting looking device. I looked into the StackShot
automatic stepping macro focusing rail made for stacked focus work, but
it was too costly, seemed to not be amenable for moving subjects and
also does not have Pentax support (though that is limited only to the
shutter release cable and it would seem that it might be possible to
kludge one of the supported cables together with a Pentax cable or IR
remote.) I just used a low tech approach for the damselfly and set the
camera to continuous shooting, focused, and then pivoted in and out as
the frames snapped off.
