Hi; If you are using Photoshop 5.5 or 6.0 (or I assume new 7.0) just go to File, Automate, Contact sheet. You can set up for up to 30 images per A4 sheet. I don't believe you have to scan specifically for that. Just use your normal scan and Photoshop will make the thumbnail at 72 PPI without affecting your regular file.
