I suppose two questions, really.
Is this at all a desirable lens? I'm kind of off my if it says Pentax I
have to have it kick, so I'm not on auto buy mode.
As I already have a couple of 100mm macro lenses, including the most
excellent DFA 100/2.8 macro, I'm not especially interested in this lens
no matter what.
However, others may not be as fortunate as I am, and may decide this is
a desirable lens, so...
My pusher has an M100/4 Macro lens on his shelf. It appears to be in
very good condition for a lens that has to be pushing 30 or more years
old. There are some dust specks in thew thing, a couple of which are on
the largish side, and one of the specks may be a bubble. However the
aperture runs smoothly, and stops down smartly when the lever is moved,
and the focus is smooth and well damped, so I think I am looking at a
lens that was well cared for. It certainly isn't showing anything other
than what I would expect from a three decade old lens.
The price tag is one hundred Canadian dollars, plus, I expect, five
percent GST. While I don't want the thing myself, I am more than willing
to enable a third party into this lens, presuming said person is willing
to make the leap of faith involved in buying a sight unseen used lens.
If I have piqued anyone's interest, please reply off list. I wil figure
out what the shipping costs are and give you an number that you will
need to send me via PayPal to make the transaction happen.
