Funny old world innit. In 18 months I will be able to unleash a little buying power as a pension pot matures, and of course I will want to invest in some camera kit.
At this very moment in time I'm thinking a Fuji X100s.....but if I think back to all the digital cameras I ever used or owned, without doubt the one I enjoyed the most was the Epson R-D1. Now there's a camera that not only hasn't been made for a while (only 6MP!) but in fact comes from a company not usually associated with high end camera production. Yet it is a brilliant genuine rangefinder camera with a digital sensor and produces some great work with a choice of lenses from Voigtlander through to anything that will fit a Leica. My point is that I'm not even considering the state of the company that made the camera, just the camera. I'm a great believer in 'if the shoe fits'... I would possibly be looking at a DSLR also, and I would consider Pentax, but it would have to be FF and be able to mount my A*85 1.4 on it for portraits. If Pentax isn't there, then I'd consider a used Canon 1Ds mark whatever. If Mark can talk me round I might even consider a Sony. Choices, choices :-) -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ Broadcast, Corporate, || (O) | Web Video Producion ---------- <www.seeingeye.tv> _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
