Bingo.
IMO it gives it a more delibrate feel to the capture.

Thanks, Kenneth!
Here's a whack at your crop suggestion. I didn't have a whole lot of space
to the left to work with:

I could go either way, but I see what you mean. I kind of liked having the
other flowers in the out-of-focus area, but I do like the balance a little
better in your crop.

Nice capture! I might have shifted the composition a bit to the right to
balance the edge treatments - ie cut off on the right and spaced to the
LH edge.

That's what they're called in western Kentucky parlance, anyway. I
figured I ought to get a few shots of them as I've been kind of quiet
on
the list of late -- at least in terms of sharing photos.
Yeah, it's just flowers. But, I felt like I ought to contribute
something more than questions. So, here's what I thought was the best
of
the few shots I took.

K-5, F501.7, ISO 80, f/8, 1/90 sec,
I used my Promaster 7500EDF flash(full manual) with the little
universal
softbox I picked up a few weeks ago.
Comments are, as always, eagerly solicited.
