Hi Dave Yeah, that's odd! I can't really "test" it 'cause my daughter has my K1000 right now. But as I see it: To posibilities: 1. The thread adaptor/mount does not work right (aperture simulator) 2. The 200mm/3.5 let's in less light than the A and M/faster lenses?
The best test is to take some pictures (slide film are best) with all three lenses. Note down what you are doing. Shoot some with the same aperture (i.e. f1:4, f1:8) on all lenses. Compare the results carefully. I spent a lot of time/money doing systematic tests: It's absolutely worthwhile doing! The "movement", as you describe it, is only affected by the way (the speed) the changes of the light, that hits the meter - the changing light at the scene or by the way you turn the dials on the K1000.
