Boris, Thanks for the followup on this with more information. I am way behind on the new chineese reseller sites, and haven't purchased anything from alibaba or anything of the kind yet. However, I've seen gadgets made in China that are not available anywhere else. (E.g. just recently, for my nephew, I bought an electronic stethoscope. )
I vaguely remember seeing DX before, but didn't pay much attention to it. I wouldn't go for quality things on this website, but for simple accessories that you want to try/play with or to use infrequently, - it might a reasonable source.
