I got to thinking about a hackintosh because some software I'm interested in doesn't come in a Windoze version. But, it's not software I'd feel the need to continually upgrade to the latest version. Install it once, and I'm done with the need to upgrade.
it was the OS updates that were trouble; but if you never use the internet with the OS, it's pretty safe without updates
