Thank you Bill and Darren for a quick response with the useful information. I am surprised (or not, but rather disappointed) that Pentax had known about this problem since the original K-5 and did nothing to address it in K5-II models and/or in the firmware updates.
Darren, that line command for avidemux can be very useful, if I will make it working on a Windows machine.
