When I disassemble things I take lots of photos during the process. That way
when 3 months later I try to put it back together there is a reasonable
chance I can figure it out.

Interesting but not that difficult really, the difficulty in managing real
repair jobs jobs is when, inevitably disassembled units need to be put aside
whilst awaiting components, then it gets tricky :)
