Following the suggestion given in the thread referenced by Darren, I've been trying to find the optimum way of recoding videos from my K5-IIs so that they are suitable for uploading to YouTube (i.e. without clicking). LavAAC Avidemux is a powerful software, but its command-line interface is convoluted and inconsistent.
First, there is a big difference in the command line syntax between 2.5.* and 2.6.* versions (and it looks like even within 2.6.* line). Second, the Wiki documentation is messed up, and in order to see it, you have to do it in "view source mode" (And that seems to last for more than half an year). There is no mentioning which version that documentation is for (2.5 or 2.6). The names of codecs are inconsistent between the documentation, built-in help ( /help), GUI, and reality. Argh! But it looks I am finally getting to a reasonable combination of command line parameters which will allow me to (semi-)automate conversion of videos. And Pentax support is so far stubbornly responded to me in response to the filed problem report that it is caused by AF. (???!!!) So, at least their customer support is in the denial mode.
