Perhaps an atmospheric effect - high humidity, cold to hot temperature etc.

I'd keep it 'open' in a dry environment and see if that clears it up.
Good luck.

Subject: FOGGY VIEWFINDER

A strange thing happened to the viewfinder on my K110D last Sunday - it fogged up. On Sat. it was fine. It is not dioptre adjustment nor a lens problem. The photos are fine. Cleaning the outside of the viewfinder & the bottom of the focusing screen did not help much. I then left the camera open (no lens) overnight which seems to have helped a bit but it is still not right. Any ideas?
