...and maybe a Greek scholar too, if that's the alphabet below the Latin. The micro-PDML group came upon this in Greenwich last month. It was embedded in a wall, about 8 feet up. It looks vaguely like a sundial, but the street is narrow enough that I doubt the sun shines there.
