Hi all, I recently bought a set of 6x7 extension tubes. Soon after I discovered what I thought to be a bit of a problem; the stop-down coupling on the #1 tube doesn't spring back into place when you move it with your finger. Is this normal? I actually opened it up thinking the spring might have broken loose but there's no spring in there at all.
Then I stupidly opened up the #2 tube to see where its spring goes, and as you might expect, as soon as I pulled it apart the spring "sprung" and I don't know where it goes. At least it didn't fly away. So, I have two questions. First, is the #1 tube supposed to have an auto-return spring on the stop-down coupling? Second, where does the spring fit in the #2 tube?
