That is why smart photographers sell a fixed package and get the balance just before the wedding. Getting paid up front is intelligent, when the B&G get home from the honeymoon they are broke and guess who they figure can wait for their money? Hard work, tense, and aggravating, and in my case was low pay. I respect anyone who is an independent wedding photographer, they've got guts. If you shoot for a studio you get paid regardless though you don't make as much money.
