My definition of "iconic" is identical to that of the U.S. Supreme Court's definition of "pornography": I know it when I see it.
As for that list, I found most of the color images to NOT be iconic. And I think there was AT LEAST one huge omission: Where was the photo of the lone guy standing in front of the tank in Tienanman Square? Surely that one is "Top 25".
